Our School Design is Unique           Odyssey Charter School - 8th Grade is a unique academic program. It is a hybrid of the traditional classroom with virtual Internet curriculum. Students attend school one day each week – the same day of the week - for either a morning or an afternoon session.            Morning Session: 7:50 – 11:55 AM.   Afternoon Session:  12:10 – 4:15 PM.           During the week students will email their completed assignments to their teachers and/or hand in their work when they return to school the following week.  We are pleased to announce that this year our Odyssey 8th Grade program will be using an online, completely customized, Classroom Management System call True North Logic, wherein students will review their assignments, grades and attendance.           Subject Area and Strategy Classes           During the four hour sessions students will attend class with each of their subject area teachers (English, Social Studies, Mathematics and Science). The students will also attend class with a learning strategist whose purpose is to provide students with research-based learning strategies. Students will learn these strategies to mastery and use them in their academic work to be more effective and efficient learners.
