What is Twitter?
Twitter's a way for you to stay up-to-date about what's going on at Odyssey Charter High School by receiving text messages on your cell phone.

That's cool. How much does it cost?
It's free to use twitter. You still have to pay your cell phone company whatever it costs to receive text messages though. Don't worry Odyssey won't text you more than a few times a week.

Alright, I'm in. How's it work?
First you need to go to twitter.com and create an account for yourself. Click "Join for Free!" and follow the instructions.



Then you have to set-up your cell phone to receive messages from twitter.

I have a twitter account and I'm ready to set-up my phone. How do I do that?
Once you're logged-in to twitter, go to "Settings" at the top of the screen,
as shown here:



Then click "Phone & IM", as shown here:




Enter your cell-phone number and click "Save".

You have to start your number with a plus sign.
Whatever your number is put a "+" in front of it, and Save it.



Then follow the directions you received from twitter in a text message on your cell phone.

I have an account and my phone is ready to go. Now What?
Log-in to twitter, then go to http://twitter.com/ochs and click the "Follow" button.




If you don't see the follow button, try refreshing the page by hitting F5 on your keyboard.
then turn on the notifications and close the yellow window.



You're ready to go. You'll now get text messages sent to your phone about what's going
on at Odyssey High School.
